MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to fill the gaps in social services for people in Pennsylvania, to support their quality of life.

One of the most common complaints we hear from people who are currently working with other service providers is that they rarely have the chance to get to know their representative payee. Thompson Social Services makes it a priority to be readily available our clients so we can better understand their needs and priorities.

We, the payee, act on behalf of you, the beneficiary. We receive your—our client’s—funds and pay your rent, utilities, and other bills. Your SSI checks are deposited on the 1st and your Social Security checks are deposited on the 3rd of the month. We then pay the rent and recurring monthly bills. Other bills we pay as we receive them.

We require you to have all your bills sent directly to us. Allowance checks are mailed to you. In addition to paying your bills, we often help you deal with landlords, creditors, attorneys and the Social Security Administration. We make payment arrangements with creditors as needed.
